Art Weaving in North Wales

I have a fascination with weaving. I was able to spend 3 days constructing a woven piece based on the Jurassic coast in South Devon. These photos show the construction.

There must be an odd number of warp lines, or the final piece will twist.

Winding the ‘butterfly’ for the piece that is going to be woven makes the difference between the weaving being and easy process and a frustrating one.

That’s the beach! The real beach in Devon is covered in large pebbles.

The lower part of the cliff is covered in various bushes and trees.

I now start on the cliff-face. The actual colours are startlingly bright.

I love blending the colours for the sky, and ensuring the two parts stay together.
