Herpetological Sale
Earlier in the year, one of my Western Hognose snakes had produced a lot of eggs. On this day I went to the IHS sale in Manchester to try to sell some of them. They came out in lots of different colours and patterns. I amazes me that for all the talk of the ‘reptile brain’, in our neuroscience modules, all the babies have very different personalities. That said they seem to have ‘modes’ rather than emotions: sleepy, hungry, defensive/stressed and horny. They seem to be able to switch very quickly.

This one has ‘toffee belly’ albinism
This one has both toffee belly and ‘anaconda’ reduced patterning, so is known as a toffee-conda.
