Trainings must ensure that students gain an understanding of human development and sexuality. This should include the place of psychosexual issues and dysfunctions impacting on human wellbeing. It requires that the student knows when to refer on to a psychosexual therapist (if that is not the primary modality of the training). 4.8. Trainings must ensure that students gain an understanding of social science to give context to the work of psychotherapy. 4.9.
